The new Intel Xeon W processors power a new generation of single-socket architecture with 4 to 18 cores to extract maximum performance for the biggest ideas. In addition, every Dell Precision comes with the exclusive Dell Precision Optimizer, which automatically tunes your workstation to run some of the most popular Independent Software Vendor (ISV) applications at the fastest speeds possible.

Storage

SAS and SATA HDDs, SSDs, plus NVME, and M.2 drives are supported in the front hot-swap drive carriers of the dell T5820 Workstation. SATA drives are supported on the integrated controller but if you want to install SAS drives you will need to install an optional HD/RAID controller. The main drive bays can be converted to support either one 3.5-inch or two 2.5-inch drives for a total of either six 2.5-inch drives or five 3.5-inch drives with a total storage capacity of 28TB.

Memory

The Dell T5820 Workstation Tower includes four channel memory up to 256GB 2666MHz DDR4 ECC memory with 8 DIMM slots. The workstation will detect and correct the most common kinds of internal data corruption while also achieving higher speed and efficiency thanks to increased transfer rates and decreased voltage.
